One of our labs is constantly chewing and destroying on one of our rugs. Does anyone know any good tricks to help break him of his new habit?

Try Bitter Apple or Chew Stop sparys. When does he chew the rug? If he chews it when you are gone, pick the rug up. Other than that, you have to catch him in the act of chewing in order to scold him.

Raggs is so right. But, if your dog is chewing when you can't see it then that is your fault. Make sure that you are preventing the chewing by making sure that the dog is not chewing when you can see him. Stop said chewing, and make sure that the dog will not have the oppertunity to chew when no one is watching.
