Default Litter training dogs(puppies)?

I'm litter training my two dogs; both are puppies; one is a italian greyhound; the other is a pug. Normally, when I am not around, they are kept in a small tiled section of my house with their crates and litter box. When I am home, I let them play with me around the house. And I keep a close eye on them to see if I can catch them trying to reliev e themselves. When I catch them trying, I say "ahh, ahh" or "no" then drag them by collar to their litter box while saying "go to box". They never go in the litter box when I drag them there. In addition, they seem to be developing a fear of using the bathroom around me because they know they will get dragged by collar to the box. It's only been about three days. Am I doing something wrong? Should I continue to do what I am doing? Any tips from those who have litter trained dogs?

buy some of those pee pads, they will help a lot and put them in the boxes. when you catch them, immediately grab them and give them a pat on the butt. if u didn't see them, don't bother it would be to late to know what they did wrong and you wouldn't know who did it.

Crate training is faster and much more effective. Try buying a larger crate and putting the litter box in it.

You have to stop dragging them to their spot. You are not encouraging but making them feel like you are reprimanding them.
Start over, with a different command, like "Get busy" and you, yourself, run towards the box and in a happy voice, say get busy, and encourage with maybe a treat. Other then the dragging, you sound like you are doing the right stuff, just try to make it fun, pups respond better that way!
