if you dont have time for a lot of traing then i wouldny suggest a large breed as they can be overpowering and accidentaly hurt your young child. Dont get a chihuahua as they can get very agitated with lively children, they like their own space etc. Maybe a Jack russel as they are reasonably small and ver active. but with any breed you choose you need to take it for walks, a run around he back yard with ur 6 yr old doesnt count! so if you dont have time for even training it, maybe you just dont have time for a dog at all and shoulnt get one.

No time for training? You will only become frustrated and eventually get rid of the dog. I wouldn't recommend a dog, I would recommend a cat.

For an active family with children such as yourselves, a Lab or retriever would be best. They are easily trained, require little or no grooming and will keep up with the kids whilebeing gentle during play. They will also be very mature and syphisticated during adult time with parents and visitors.Hope this helps.

it really depends what size and how much money you are willing to spendi reccomend a lab or golden retreiver as they are the top two famnily dogsif you want something smaller go for a pug, cocker spaniel or maybe a new cockapoo which doesnt shed and is hypoallergenic.good luck!

GOLDEN RETRIEVER their fast learners and great family dogs. I own 2 and their the best dogs even. Golden retrievers have a great way of "playing"with kids by letting them pull on ears and play with their tails. And Fetching balls and toys.

Dalmatian, Lab, Golden Retriever. Each are energetic enough to keep up with a 6 y/o, and each are intelligent and loyal.

You might think about adopting a dog that is already trained. They might have a few accidents at first, but once they know where they can go, it's all good. Puppy stage is rough!! I like getting 1-2yr olds already trained. We have a mutt and a mini dachshund. Each are great with the kids. Good luck to you!!!

Anyone who said lab is crazy. If this breed isnt trained they are out of control maniacs with ALOT of energy. You should get a Newfoundland they are naturally smart and if not trained they still have great family instincts. They love activities and rest time as well.Research this breed please!!!I know you will like it.
