I would suggest talking to a recommended trainer. It can be done but it will take a lot of time and effort on your part. You need to establish at what distance your dog starts to get anxious about strangers then slowly decrease the distance but making sure you do not puch too hard and too fast. Make sure all strangers have very tasty treats on them. Get your 'guinea pigs' to stand at the distance your dog can accept then they throw small pieces of very tasty treats. Do not try to reasuure your dog as this can make the behaviour worse. If you dog does not see the treats then point them out to him in an excited manner. Soon your dog will start to accept people as providers of tasty treats and you can slowly decrease the distance. However. I would still recommend getting a trainer to help you as this can take many months.

could be deal to the acceptance of the scent of strangers. try working on that ok such as leading your dog to the public area so he can feel comfortable with strangers and feel less intimidated. cheers.

First you have to establish dominance.Claim your space, allow person in your space correct dog when he shows any behavior that is unacceptable.Dogs are a good judge of character I wouldn't want mine to be too overly friendly with just anyone

This is something that should have been done when your dog was a puppy. Socialization is very important and it prevents aggression towards strangers and other dogs. I would strongly suggest you talk to a trainer in your area and get your dog out of the house meeting new people.I had a puppy that was starting to guard our house when company came over, so I asked a load of people she had never met to come over and give her treats and attention. She soon learned that people coming into the house meant a treats and praise. So try handing a stranger some cheese and asking them to feed your dog and give your dog attention. Your dog will soon associate strangers with a good thing. Start small; you don’t want to overwhelm your dog. Keep everything positive and even if you dog growls at the stranger don’t yell at it because they think strangers mean I get I LOVE DOGS!I LOVE DOGS!I LOVE DOGS!I LOVE DOGS! from my owner making your dog even more agressive with strangers.
