hi there at the ripe old age of 43 i have finaly decided to change my life and get into the dog training/ behavior side of things and am asking for help finding some way of gaining some practical help to achieve this[ i am aleady doing a correspondance coarse to help] any help in the co durham area would be most helpfull

well, there are plenty of books out there on the subject. Also, Adoption Shelters are always looking for volunteers for that kind of thing. Lots of shelters offer obedience courses for people who adopt out of that shelter, or for anyone in General. You can also look in your local yellowpages and find specific Dog Obedience courses running in your area. Call around, ask if you can shadow, or just ask if people are looking for apprentice dog trainers happy hunting!
