Default What all are service dogs for the deaf trained to...

...do? I lost my hearing and I want to get my dog certified as a service dog. She has not been "trained" to be a service dog-but I have had her so long, I know how to read her actions so that they help me know what noises are going on around me. For instance, I know when someone is at the door, or an alarm is going off. The way she reacts to certain noises helps me with the noises.the purpose of the certification would be so that she is allowed places other dogs (pets) are not. Such as airplanesthe purpose of the certification would be so that she is allowed places other dogs (pets) are not. Such as airplanes

Service dogs are trained as puppies. If you already know how to read your dog's actions then you don't need her to be certified.

they are supposed to notify and recognize signs to tell the deaf what is going on, like they are not supposed to walk when there are cars coming, phone ringing, door knocking, ect.

They are trained to give the owner a signal for when the phone rings, doorbell rings or traffic comes e.t.c.
