Any Ideas?
I have a weimereiner/black lab/other mix and we got him when he was 7 1/2 months old. Training him hasn't been the easiest, but we've made major progress, and he (while sometimes hesitant) listens pretty well. Except for one problem:: Only when we are alone. If there are any "stanger dogs", even our neighbor's dog, all he want to do is play with them, like he does with our chocolate lab, and run in circles...the problem is that smaller dogs are the major type of dogs in our neighborhood. So Mowgli towers over all these other dogs, and they are terrified. Not to mention their owners, who think that Mowgli is going to eat their precious Fluffikins.........but really, i just don;t know what to do, becase as the weather gets nicer, we will be outside more, and more dogs will be out being walked, and i don't want him to be chasing these little dogs all over. I just want him to stay in the yard, like we've taught him, whether there are other dogs or not. Any tips or ideas on how to train him out of this habit he is picking up (and passing on to my choco lab puppy!!!) would be greatly appreciated. My thanks in advance.
