Staying in the yard is a tricky problem. But barking, scold the dog when it barks, praise when it stops.A doggy Dazzer or spray bottle can help when the barking goes.Don't yell, the noise makes them bark more.

GIve him a squirt of water everytime he goes outside the yard. Give him treats while staying in the yard without barking.

Just get one of those collars that shock the dog, they work really good.

first of all hurting your dog with a shock collar will not help at all it might stop the barking but really who wants to hurt a member of their family as for water its used as a scaring technique that i dont agree with either dogs are like children you must ask yourself do you give the dog attention when it runs from you or barks bad attention is still attention break the attention cycle by ingnoring the dog completely when it barks and giving it treats and attention when it is not

your dog is bored. give her something to do while she is in the yard. don't leave her out there too long. a leash is OK for a short while, but again, not for too long. go out to her at regular intervals when she is not barking to encourage her. do not get her excited before you leave her in the yard. do not react to her barking as she will do it simply for that reason
