I have a 4 month old lab who barks a lot and is very active! I checked with my vet just last week and she suggested a "citronella collar". It is a collar that has a sensor that can tell when the dog barks, when the dog barks the collar sprays straight on to the dogs face. They hate the smell but it DOES NOT harm them. We tried it with our dog and it worked really well! The collar runs about $80 at Petsmart! Also, we are making sure he gets lots of exercise and he starts puppy school soon. Good luck!!

Like the three pit bulls that play with my two year old son and my declawed cats? A two dollar squirt gun from the drug store will be miraculous. It will startle the animal but not hurt it or cause fear, and you can get him without yelling or throwing things from across the room.

You have to be patient and when they don't do what you want, you just dont give them a treat with out yelling or being aggresive. you have to be positive and remember: dogs react against presure, so if you pull up on the leash, your dog is going to want to go down. when it does you say good down! Good down! that way, the dog is being praysed and they get to know the word so later they will do it on comand!
