Your dog seems to think that only bad things are going to happen when she is on the lead - like going to the vets etc. Tie the lead up and put it on your dog in such a way that she will not trip on it but still be aware of it - then leave her. let her get used to walking around the house with this on - then give her a few treats while she is wearing it. Praise her a lot when you take it off again after a few hours or so. This way the dog will realize that it is not just for bad things and that it will do her no harm. Once she has accepted it for a few days then take her out in it - but only to somewhere nice to reinforce the better side of being leashed.

The others gave good advice. If that still doesn't work, you will probably have to get her a training collar. They look scary but get advice from a competent dog trainer on the best one. The freaky looking pinch collar is generally better than the standard and potentially harmful choke collar. I know, I tried out both on my arm before putting it on the dog.

Just put it on her and leave it there. Don't pull hold or anything but give her a treat. Then take it off her. Next day put it on her and repeat. After about a week she'll not associate the lease with something bad. Then try going into the back yard with the lease on with out you holding on for a couple of days. just work on sit stay and come all with the leash on. If shes calm by then try a short walk. put the lease on give her a treat hold the lease and you go out the door and call her ( this is were the sit stay come in the back yard pays off.) Short walk reward after return and repeat untill its no big deal to her. Good Luck

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN LEAVING A COLLAR AND/OR LEASH ON A DOG. Accidents can happen, even fatal ones.Something else to try, if she likes any treats or toys, try to get her to follow you while wearing the collar and leash. When she follows, even if it's short (start with baby steps), PRAISE her and stop the training session, take the collar and leash off. Work your way up to walking her on the leash. Make a big deal out of it when she does the right thing. Good luck!
