Default how to re-train a year old dog?

MY year old Beagle now is peeing in the house. DO I re-crate train him? That means when I take himout, he pees but doesn't poo, he goes right back in the crate right? ANd, when he pees but doesn't poo he goes back in the crate? SOmetimes he pees and then comes back inside only to poo 15 mins. later and vice versa. SO i basically have to re crate train him as if he were a puppy right?

i would try to crate him. make sure you feed him and wait about 15-20 mins b4 taking him outside. you need to give him at least 7-10 mins outside you cant hurry these things.sometimes walks do better than just taking a dog into your yard. i know that my dog wont poo in his own yard. some dogs seem to have a problem with this. make sure you praise and him reward him with a treat when he goes in the proper place. then he will get the idea that if he does this he gets a treat. if the dog is left alone alot during the day sometimes it isnt just an issue of holding his potty. he may be acting out for being left alone just like a small child might. you might want to consult a trainer also. you can also try puppy pads. hope this helps you!

Have you tried keeping a leash on your pup after you bring him back inside, and keep him at your side. Doing that allows you to closely watch him so he cant sneak off and go potty in another room.
My vet always has said pooping in the house is 99 percent always behavior, not health related. Peeing inside though can be health related and unless something happened to change his behavior, I would have your vet check it out.
