It really depends on the personality of the dog. However from my own experience I think that Golden Retrievers, Rottweilers and German Shepard are the smartest and easiest to train. But I don't like little yappy dogs so I'm prejudiced.

im not exactly sure on all of the three but i do know that a lab is defenatly one of the top three.

go to pedigree.com but i hav a brittny spaniel and she was trained so so easy and she can roll over, speak, shake, dance, sit, lay, stay, come, and thas it and shes only 2 yrs old she is such a great dog too u should consider getting one they r very obedient, lovable, small, easy to care for, ... shes an all over awesome dog!

Mutts, Mutts, Mutts. I have had a few of them. Pure-breads are great, but mutts are easier.
