what are some good tips on how to potty train/house train a dog/puppy?
i have a six month old female miniature dachshund.of course i have started house/potty trainig her. i have since day one of having her in my home. i was just wanting some tips to hopefully move things along.
Be consistent! If you always take him/her outside at the times and praise them for doing the 'deed' it will be easy to train them. But it's not always easy to train them. It can take weeks of working with them and if you are consistent it will pay off sooner than you think.Good Luck!
you can use training pads or if you have another dog around the same use have her/.him help housebreak the dog/puppy. We did this with our Jack Russell terriers.Now they all know to go outside even my 7 month old JRT does it too!
