Default Could dogs be trained to play soccer?

Fairly independently, that is - without someone standing off to the side always giving them hand signals etc.

Yeah Many Animals Can Be Trained To Do Stuff. And Yeah I Think Dogs Can Be Trained To Play Soccer.

Why not? If the dogs had a great ball drive you can teach them to take it to the net, and praise them for every attempt to make a goal. I would think that a human would have to be there to encourage the dog to take it to the net, but I think that it would be possible.

I would think training a dog to play soccer would be easier then to play flyball.
