mini dogs are not as intelligent as a medium dog or big dog due to the fact of years of inter breeding to get some sort of mini pure breed..... it takes a lot of effort and tI'me to train them im not saying it cant be done but with their small size you have to agree that their brain is pea size to to fit the body, also rethink the word cute, all dogs esp mini's will get to a not so cute stage when they are bold and mini dogs are very spoilt and bold most times and attention craving all the time so be warned it get annoying and not cute trust me i had a pure breed mini dog before.......so heed my advice and think carefully do you have time and plenty of attention to give through his/hers whole life cuz mini dogs need plenty although their small more so then bigger dogs..........goodluck either way it will be such a happy exciting moment when you get the pup..........

I personally would recommend a toy yorkie terrier or a tea cup yorkie terrier. They are so cute and very energetic, but they dont make alot of noise and they can be well trained by the right owner. I must warn you though, they are pretty expensive. I would also recommend a jack russel terrier, or even a cocker spaniel. I hope I helped you out with an idea. I am sorry if I didnt though.
