Make sure she can distinguish from faces.Then basic training by fetching simple items and work your way up from there.

Um, unless it's a police dog, why the hell would you want to do that? That dog gets you into trouble, you get a fine or possibly arrested, the dog gets put down. Do you think that's fair?

If that is really what you want your dog to do then the best place to take it would be to a training school. It is more likely that she will be trained correctly and you are less likely to risk your friends being attacked because you will be trained to know what commands to give.
