Default Okay, how in the world do you potty train a dog that is already ten months old?

She just can't learn!?

Teather her to you with a 6 foot leash.Every where you go in the house she goes... Let her our to go to the bathroom every couple of hrs(during the day) Go outside with her... and prase her when she goes. Try saying go pee until she goes.. then good girl good go pee and give her a treat. If your not with her during the day leave her outside or in a crate. Be patient! If she has an accadent inside put her out right away and say outside go pee.

I agree. All dogs can learn, no matter how old they are. Try using a pet carrier or pet cage. Dogs really hate to get dirty and will usually not go in cage, unless they cannot help themselves. When you are out of bed and home, let her run and watch her AT ALL TIMES. If you see her squat, yell stop and grab her and take her where you want her to go. Let her do her business and take her back inside. When you leave the house or go to bed, put her in the carrier. It may take a while for her to get the picture, but eventually, she will learn what to do. it is a LOT of work, but once she is trained, she will tell you when it's time to go.

I am not an expert, and am not sure if this works with older pups, but I house broke my puppy with a crate. I would feed and water him and then take him out.. if he didn't potty I would take him back in, put him in his crate and try again 10-15 minutes later, and so on until he went... eventually he got the hang of it and now only ever goes in his crate at night... he is only a 7 month old lab who likes to get into mischief!

Don't give up . Take her out and wait!!!!! She has to go sometime!! Get up early ;if you have to, and get a crate!! They really do like it maybe not at first, but, if you make it fun the will love it.Better that then the pound!! Why , Why why won't people crate their dogs? It is SOOoo natural to them,Are they not under the chair , bed or table?BUT not for too long 1 hour per month of age AT THE MOST They love you!! They will wait for you to come home "IF" they have enough exercise. If they don't, that your fault ,,, get a cat!!!
