I hope you are not planning to put things in her cage. Especially if she is having pups. The pups can choke on toys and pillows and things like that. I would just put an ordinary, thin, blanket in there and leave it at that. Keep checking on it to make sure it hasn't gotten bunched up and it's not suffocating any puppies. I am not sure how big the cage is but it needs to be pretty sizable for her to whelp in there. If you are not planning on her whelping in there the best way to get her in is to throw treats in there and let her go in and get them without locking the door. Do this until she goes in on her own and always give her treats. Hide some in the corners so she has to look for them. Eventually she will feel comfortable in there and wont mind you locking the door. But if this is a crate do not whelp her in it. She might step on the puppies. It is way too small.
