It averages starting at $7.15 and goes up . When i first started working i was getting min wage and after a few months of training i was given a raise. It also depend on the area you are in. Most groomers get their training from the place they are working at, but i do know there are some online courses you can take.

Dog groomers get paid depending on how much the owner of the shop charges and the size of the dog. I myself work with my aunt who owns a dog grooming business and she charges on average for smaller dogs like cocker spaniels or shitzus about $20 to $30, this also depends on how the dog behaves, the more difficult the more it costs. And for big dogs like springer spaniels or black labs we charge $80 to $100 and this also depends on the things i said before. And some advice for you, don't groom Malamutes, they are screamers and they are impossible to work with, that's why my aunt and I dont do them.If you work for somebody then you make minimum wage , $8 an hour and dog groomers dont work that long. As for training there are many different institutes out there just look them up on google. There arent any schools better than others really.

Dog Training Mastery - An Owner's Manual
D.i.y. Dog Training At Home
Choose anyone of them they are very useful
