How do you train a dog to do basic things such as:Sit,roll,lie down and so on..?

sit hold your hand up and say sit if he dosnt, tap his but if he dosnt again tap harder etc. when he gets it reward him repeat he will get itroll, teach lay down and stay first but you have them lay down and take a treat or somthing they like and make a BIG cirlcce around them with it the will rolllie down get them to sit and take a treat and hold it out infront of them on the floor till he lies down, give him his treat, more, sorry I just know those onesoh wait, speak hold a treat up and say speak till they bark.... you might not want to teach that one

To get a dog to sit1)Have a treat in you're hand.(2)Hold the treat over his/her nose.(3)While doing so say "sit."(4)Don't let him/her have it.(5)Be Patient.(6)He/she will sit.(7)Give him/her treat.(8)Praise,say"good pup"Rub head.(9)Keep doing this.(10)When he/she learned, Take treat away.(11)Say "sit," with no treat.(12)Be patient.(13)Praise,say"good pup"Rub head.(14)Do this allot so he/she doesn't forget.(15)Occasionally or often use treats.
