the most important is patience! you have to, and don't give up on them.second, you MUSN'T hurt them or scold them even hitting w/ newspaper.and then you have to give 'em treats everytime after practice, wheter if they could do it or not. at least they tried to, right?good luck w/ the dog! ^_^

Don't know where you are but locally here in Michigan the Humane Society offers Obedience Training classes as do some of the PETCO stores.

If you have a cable watch the dog whisper show on the discovery Chanel you can learn a lot of ideas on how to make your dog obedient.
