I have a 6mnth old boxer Sawyer. he is terrified to go for walks. I have a harness on hm so he won't choke himself, that has helped a bit. I feel so bad, when I put it on him he shakes. He shakes most of the way around the block. I give him treats I praise him. I stop and pet him telling him how good he is. When we get home he is pulling so hard to gett in the house or yard. Then he is soooooo tired from the fear of the walk. Does anyone have any advice to help me get him to love going for walks. I though all dogs love walks.

remove the harness. try a loose leash training method, the treats also help. Try to setup a schedule for walks, repetition and consistency is a must so that your dog begins to expect the walks. Try walking closer to home at first and slowly introduce farther walks as your puppy begins to become more comfortable with its surrounding. eventually he should get over his fear of walks.
