Get a crate for her to stay in while you sleep and are away from home. Take her outside immediately before you put her in and after you take her out of the crate. When you take her outside, walk her on a leash & take treats with you. When she goes potty, immediately give her a treat and lots of praise. Make sure to take her to the same spot each time. Take her outside, about every hour, while you're home. DO NOT use pee pads. They will only confuse her and make one more step for you. I don't know how long it will take, it's different for each dog. She should have been trained a long time ago. Why have you waited so long?

you have to watch her, be perceptive. When she looks like she has to go p, you take her outside. After awhile she gets the picture and stands next to the door when its time. This will take time and a week is probably too short to get it complete. Be persistant

You've got some good advice above, but you can't put a time limit on learning - especially not with a dog that age.Be patient and keep an eye on her - make sure you take her outside often (even if she doesn't request a potty trip), praise her when she *does* potty outside.

If it already has set behavour it will take more than a few days to get to forget that and engage in new behaviour that is proper. It will be difficult but it can be done. It depends or how liberal you are. Some people are very much against phyisically teaching your dog and only use tone of voice and praise. The best way which is easy when they are pups as they have to go a lot, is to take you dog out to pee or poop, and as they pee or poop use a command like HURRY HURRY or HURRY UP, GO PEES, POO POO, whatever works for you. This will teach them that when you say it they need to try and go to the bathroom. But more importantly praise her like crazy and even give her a treat after she goes outside so she knows you really like it when she pees and poops outside. So dont chintz out on the praise, really lay it on thick. Conversly if she goes inside you must show her how you fell. Angry, upset, etc. BUT ONLY when you catch her in the act. You should say "BAD PEES, YOU DO NOT PEE IN THE HOUSE BAD PEES YOU PEE OUTSIDE!! And push her nose into the pee smell or poop smell so she know what you are talking about and then immediately take her outside and wait til she goes pee again (this is much harder when they are older) and the BIG praise when she does and treat her with food. REMEMBER angry tone for bad behaviour and happy and pleased tone for good behaviour. Think: Angry man, happy woman. Thats how you should talk in terms of tone. AND finally ALWAYS be consistent as to not confuse your dog. It will be hard but she will learn that you get very happy when she goes outside and will want to please you. Good luck.
