...(stay) command and stop jumping on people

I just watched this on Animal Planet. They tied the dog on a leash and tied the leash to one spot...said stay (sit) and then gave him a treat for doing so. They did this over and over, until they were able to take off the leash.Same as the jumping up...they put the dog on a leash and had someone come into the room...when the dog went to jump up they corrected him and told him down (gently jerking on the leash). Then give praise and a treat.
