Crate Training - Chewing
Hi there,
We have a 4.5 month old Wheaten who has been just incredibly easy to train up to this point, but the one major issues we're having is with our crate training. He is kenneled during the day (8 hours), but let out at the 4-hour mark (roughly) to run around and do his business.
During the time he is in his kennel though, he does not chew on his bones or chewies, but rather on the pillow or blanket in which he sits on. When he's out of his kennel he gnaws on bones, etc, but doesn't seem to be doing it in the kennel as he is pre-occupied with the pillow or blanket.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to redirect his attention to what he SHOULD be chewing on while in the crate? or why he may be doing this?
Thanks
