Hello, I've been searching around but haven't yet found anything helpful.

We have an 8 y/o half bichan half poodle who's only recently been having some crate problems. We've had her since she was 4 months old or so and used the puppy pads to train her and she hasn't had problems since. Only recently it seems like she gets mad at us when we leave her everyday. We keep her in the crate while we're all at work and even if we're gone for just a few hours she'll pee in the crate. We started putting the puppy pads down in there because they're easy to take out and throw away but we're not exactly sure why she's doing this.

She's recently started yipping at night in her crate if she had been in too long during the day. She'll stop if someone just goes downstairs and stays in the same room as her.

This behavior just started a couple months ago, we figure that she might be mad at us for leaving her during the day but what can we do?

Any information would be great, it's horrible having to clean her off everyday. Thank you

have you had her checked for a UTI or other medical issue?

has something changed in her life as far as how long she's being left alone?

why not get an X-pen & use the puppy pads, baby gate off the kitchen & use the pads, let a radio on a talk station for her, put her crate in your bedroom at nite, hire a dog walker.
