Talltimbo is on a distinguished road
Default At witts end with potty training!!!!!!

My german shorthair is 5 months old and is still peeing in the house. She can hold it when she she is in her cage at night and during the day......Give me your thoughts on this idea. I am going to start tied her to my waist with a leash so she will be by my side all the time and I can correct her isd she goes in the house. Is this a good idea? I am really stressed out about this.

Try spraying the places she has gone with something that rids the floor of the smell. The dog store has products that are suposed to break down the pherimones in their eliminations. Then try spaying it with bitter lemon or apple spray(dog store too). The leash thing is not a bad idea if you are home alot. Also be sure to catch her goign tin the yard and praise her/him for going in the right place. Sometimes they think you just dont like them going anywhere.

Good luck I know its tuff, hang in there.

I don't know too much about potty training, but I am going to have to do it when I bring my puppy home. I watched a training movie about potty training, they said its a good idea to tie your dog to yourself with a leash if nessecary. Here is a link to the training video...hope it works...good luck!
