I am asking for some suggestions on how to get my dog from chasing cows. He will chase animals when they start running but obeys when I call him back. He's a great dog with a lot of patience. He's a mix between a lab and a great pyraneese from what I can tell. He also chases birds when they are flying but mainly around the yard when he does this. He's a country dog and gets to run free but stays around the house probably 95% of the time. How can I teach him to stop chasing cows and other animals? Thanks for your help.

Probably your dog is having fun chasing those moving animals...But as you said he stop when you said so...I think you can train him better not to chase those animals...And it will be easy I think because he response positive to your command...

Thanks for your reply. I'd like to train him, the problem is that he never leaves when I'm watching. I was wondering about a collar that shocks when he leaves a certain perimeter, but I'm not sure if I want to because of the pain he might get. Do you or anyone have any training techniques that I can attempt??? Thanks for your time.
