Default Help me retrain him!!

Hi, everyone, I'm new here, and I'm sure you can all help me with this dilemma:

Pasha is now 9 months old. He learned where to go do his things very early. For many reasons I had to "pee pad" train him inside the apartment. When he was very little I put the pad close to my bedroom door, then slowly started moving it towards the balcony, where it should permanently go... but then I realized he was going on the pad sometimes, and the rest right on my bedroom where it used to be. Do you have any advice about what I could do to have him go to the balcony?

Hm...that is a hard dilemma since he is used to going in that one spot. I would say, that of course you would want to discipline him for going in the wrong spot and praise for going in the right spot, out on the balcony. There might also be carpet products that give off an unpleasant odor for dogs and keep them away from that one area. You may want to try that but make sure he doesn't start going anywhere else in the house.

I hope this helps a little but hopefully someone else will be able to give you better advice, but I'll do some research and see if I can find any more helpful tips.
