Default Suddenly peeing at night

My 2 year old yorkie-toy fox terrier mix has suddenly started to need to go out to pee everynight around 4am. He used to have no problems making it until 6-6:30 when the rest of the household wakes. We have done nothing different with his routine. He definitely has to pee though. He tears right out the door, pees and comes back in. I could handle that if I had to but, then he will not go back into his crate. He whines, cries and barks until everyone is awake. HELP!!!! We are all getting a bit cranky from lack of sleep.

You need to have him checked by your vet. The most likely cause is an early urinary tract infection. But it could also be bladder stones, diabetes, diabetes insipidus (they're two different diseases), or a kidney problem, as well as other medical problems.

Whenever a dog's bowel or bladder habits change, your first stop should be at the vets.
