Oooh, I see. Yes, it does seem you are "between a rock and a hard place," as we say it out west. Well, I'll just send you some happy thoughts then-- seems that's all anyone can do. You are really in a bind! (((have another hug!)))

I just don't get it you know. The complex is advertised as a dog friendly complex but we have mostly very non dog friendly neighbors. (They knew there would be dogs here)
I mean I try not to let my dogs bother anyone, I clean up after them when they use the rest room, I keep them busy so they aren't tempted to bark while inside, I walk them a lot to keep their energy in check. I always have them leashed. the only time they freak out is when someone is in the breezeway or smoking outside our window (which I've called the management on twice because it is very dry in that area so fire hazzard (I've come out and dumped water I don't know how many times in that brush) and two we can smell it and I'm allergic)
I just don't get why people can be such jerks. I mean we try to be good tenents and we try to stay out of peoples way but lets face it the parents aren't much better than the kids.
I mean we don't have much longer to go.....but if this keeps up or our dogs or us ever gets threatened face to face. I'm packing the dogs up and going to stay with my parents or grandparents for awhile. And we will just pay out the rest of the rent. (I will not let our dogs continue to be victims, I won't let us)
But I'm in better spirits today. I feel so much better they have a cop on Patrol out here and he just drives through several times a day. I feel much better about that. And we have a bicycle cop now too. So it feels a little safer

My father had a saying, "Poor people have poor ways." You have already explained a lot of it when you told us how the rent was reduced. There are a lot of people who have a hard time affording even minimal rent, so they are going to take the cheapest rent they can find. Unfortunately, there seems to be a link between poverty level and social etiquette-- it's a completely different culture. This isn't to say that all poor people are heathens, because there are a lot of very nice, courteous people out there who are just doing the very best they can with what they have, and live positive lives, and find ways to serve their community, despite their lack of resources (been there, done that). But I'm also witnessing first-hand the products of the community in which you live, and the culture they have been brought up with, in the place where I work. Their very mentality and way of thinking/reasoning is completely skewed, compared to the way I was raised. It is discouraging to see this, and to feel so helpless to do anything about it.
Hang in there, girlfriend. Anytime you just need to vent, we're here for you, and we'll listen and commiserate with you.

They've Made Great Progress
We were out at the park yesterday and the day before we walked the greenway. And both days (first of all I wish parents would not let there kids run up to a dog they don't know.....parents are always like look there is a doggy go see it)
But both days two little kids ran up to Zackie and Sasha and they just sat there like a bump on a log while the kids petted them....infact one kid got a big Sasha kiss.
Do you know what this means to us? Do you know what a relief that is? Do you know how incredibly proud i am of my two pups?
Anyways I just wanted to share
