Question Issues with Terrier mix. Strength and Lunging. Can you give some advice?

Issues with Terrier mix. Strength and Lunging. Can you give some advice?

First of all I can normally walk her loose leash and don't have much of a problem with her except she is terrified of bicycles and skateboards (she always has been but it keeps getting worse even with desensitization)

We had our Terrier Mix out on the walking trail today and we have been working on her fear of bicycles but now she has started lunging at them instead of just cowering and whining. And its bothersome.

We for the most part can pull her back and steady her our key word is "Steady" and she does pretty good most of the time but she does get worked up.

The worst part is she is getting pretty strong. My husband even has a hard time holding her back and getting her undercontrol when she freaks out (only around bicycles). And he is a pretty strong man.

This little girl is pretty strong. Honestly I have been around several labs. My father has two and my uncle has one and none of them are as strong as her. Infact I'll be honest she is about as strong as my Uncles 2 boxers

The thing is when there are no bikes around I can walk her loose leash no problem and she won't even pull or anything but once she sees a bike or skateboard that is it. She is very fearful of both bikes and skateboards.

She is an over all good dog but this fear of hers is getting out of control and we've tried desensitizing her but she seems to be getting more fearful of them.

What can we do to correct this behavior?

(We honestly didn't know much about Terriers to begin with I mean we were adopting a Chihuahua mix and then we find out she is a Terrier mix when we pick her up. They said Jack Russell so I figured hey she will still be a small dog of around 15 lbs but I was wrong......she fluxes between 22 and 25 pounds and is 14 months old)

We've had her since she was 12 weeks old

Here are some photos:

I wanted to add we have been working with a really great trainer but was wanting some tips/encouragement from other owners that have shared similar frustrations

Thanks
