My favorite is the high-five.

It's the easiest to teach and all my dogs get it right within a few days!

Post Your favorite tricks

My favorite trick of my dog "Palette" ;Corgi,to show off is to lick her mouth on cue. I give her cue word "Let's eat!" and she licks her mouth. It is cute!!

Another one is,Palette goes hide on cue, come out on cue.she goes hide under the bed She also helps my laundry. She comes and be on down position when I am unloading the laundry stuff and, when I am done, she stands up and make herself behind the door and,she makes sure I am out from laundry room, and close the door for me. She is my door dog in a way

I like teaching lots of tricks but, when I tried to teach her to pick the tissue for me when I sneeze.she was over-servicing me and she gave me tonz of tissue and,I stopped teaching the trick.

I think clicker training is pretty good to teach any kinds of tricks. One thing I cannot teach her no matter what is to back-walking without sit. Palette tend to sit when I try to teach her to go back-walking. It is very difficult for me to teach.Anybody has taught dogs to backward walking with success?? I like to know how to teach it to dog that tends to sit down rather than walking back.

Thank you

Yassy

One of my Jack Russells can either catch the tennis ball in his mouth or "Play Catch" which means hit the tennis ball back with his teeth/mouth.

I never thought him this trick.... He kind of taught me.

Ace is actually pretty good at catching Frisbee but he hates bring them back... He thinks a Frisbee is a raw hide.

I taught my wife's chihuahua to do a cute belly crawl trick. I say "Get down Mickey" and he lays flat on his belly and uses his front paws to crawl to me. Its so cute. He also sleeps in the weirdest positions too.

I used to have a dog that would pick things up off the floor on command and give them to me. I didn't really think it would come in handy since she was a very small dog and I would have to bend down to get it from her, but one day as I was sitting watching tv. I wanted to take a look at the tv guide but it lying on the floor out of my reach. So I called my dog, pointed to the guide and told her to "pick it up". She did and dragged it over to me. I didn't even have to get out of the chair, lol.

The dog I have now only knows the basic stuff.

My favorite trick that we taught our Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix is "boing" We noticed that he was quite the jumper when we adopted him, so we decided to teach him to do it on command . . . it's very cute.
