Big trouble, Little Chihuahua
I've had fun training my little Bella, but ive had a few problems...
1) she sits, shakes, jumps up when told, lies down, and will even jump over a few things if i tell her to... but i cant for the life of me get her to come when i call..
2) as soon as we get out of the house, lets say in the back yard, i no longer exist to her... she wont listen to a thing i say, and its getting a bit annoying!
3) she goes under the fence to our neighbors yard(they also have a chihuahua, named Tu-tu) they say they dont mind, but i do, she gets out of their yard and onto the street. once shes on the street theres not a thing i can do to get her back untill shes ready. that's dangerous for her, and its been happening more often then id like.
I feel like she thinks shes leader of the pack, which is NOT what i want, lol. but im unsure how to deal with it. any ideas will be welcomed!!

What a smart little Bella... When I was first training chev I used one word that he eventually knew meant to come to me and nothing bad will happen and there will be a treat waiting also.
I used the word "touch" even when we were in the house in the beginning I would practice from another room yelling "chevy touch" and when he came he got the treat which I alway's had held between my finger's so he could see it.
He's 9 year's old now and our "touch" word still work's.. When I want him to come in the house or to come to another room I just have to yell, chevy touch (I alway's do it in a really nice voice) and he come's...
Try to find a word that he will associate with love and treat's and Bella will come running as soon as she hear's it....
Good Luck...

I think I'll try it too. Luca has trouble with come, especially if he is outside and around other people because he gets so worked up. Also, if he thinks he is in trouble he won't budge, whether he is or not. It would help to have another word to use that has a good connotation. Thanks!
