Hey there!

Have a new chocolate lab puppy, Kodi, who's been with us a almost 2 weeks now (he just turned 9 weeks on this past Thursday), and the first week was wonderful with potty training (too good to be true, in fact!) and this past week he's regressed tremendously with little accidents in the house...thankfully he stops as soon as we say no and we can take him outside.

Back to my problem...every book we've read about potty training says that dogs and puppies won't go where they sleep b/c they don't want to lie in the mess....my dog must be one gross SOB...he wets his bed with purpose! (we could be in the middle of playtime and he with stop and go straight to the bed to pee!).

It's a little frustrating, esp since we WERE doing so well before. Any advice would be wonderful!!

I'm no expert. But to me it sounds like your little ball of pup might be acting out for some reason. Is he mad at you? Or is he perhaps trying to get your attention?

If I had to second-guess, I would say that maybe you're failing to anticipate his "bathroom needs" and instead of going around the house he's going in HIS area as a substitute.

Again though, I'm no expert. Good luck. =)
