Dog won't go in kennel or outside

I have a big boxer dog, he's about 2 years old and 95 lbs. He's huge and really really hard to handle because of his size and weight. Each night i have to put him in his kennel. he knows that when i call him downstairs that he has to go in his kennel, so he won't follow me downstairs. He lies down on his side and puts on the puppy face, it annoys the heck out of me because i want him to come, and he won't budge by calling him. He rolls on his back wanting me to pet his stomach, every time he doesn't want to go outside or into his kennel. I have to pull him by the collar and push him, or carry him downstairs or outside. I really hate doing that because it really looks like it hurts him when i pull hard on his collar to pull him downstairs, and second because i need him to obey, he's to big and hard to pull around all the time. The only way i can get him to go into his kennel is to grab some treats or pieces of bread and make a trail of them into his kennel. I can't keep doing that, i'm running out of bread and treats.
please help.
i can't stand it anymore it makes me crazy!
