Smile Siberian husky question

My 17 week old Siberian Husky was quite easy to potty train for our back yard. My problem is that she won't go anywhere else. If I take her to a park or anywhere else, she simply won't go. She'll hold it till we get home. There are some days that it will be 8 hours before we are able to go back home. I don't want to make her hold it that long. Any ideas for getting her to go elsewhere?

This isn't the most pleasant thing but so far it is the only thing that just popped into my head. Put some of the poo from the back yard--Put in a plastic bag----Take with you on your walk to where ever you are going and when you want her to do her job---dump from plastic bag to the spot you'd like her to go! You might have to do this several or more times--If she goes finally after trying this idea (I would only do it in 1 area until she does go there and then try it in another area you want her to go in until she goes there. I am hoping after you get her to go in all the places that you can try and see if she will finally go without the, lol, prompt!

Interesting idea, Corky/Max! My friend Mary's dog (now deceased) absolutely refused to poop on the building property. He would pee (frequently as males tend to do) but, she had to take him off the property before he would poop!

Do you have a verbal command for toilet time? I taught my puppy to "go" on command - I would hover around until she "went" and give her the command while she was "going" and then went crazy with hugs and a treat. Now, at 9 months, I can literally take her anywhere and she will "go".
Downside is - if your dog is as devious as mine, it will do it's business then wait for the treat - even to the point of pretend squatting!
