Default House training a rescue pup

This weekend I adoped a rescue puppy. She was hit, and ignored and when the Pets For Life people got her she was covered in vomit and poop.

This is a wonderful pup, a bit shy right now but very friendly and affectionate. She also really wants to please.

I have a dog run that my other dog goes to the bathroom in and I want Bailey to use it as well. Don't want to destroy my lawn or step on something.

Anyway, she will not go in the dog run, only on grass and even then she holds it forever. Example: I took her for a 35 minute walk this morning and she only peed at the end of it. No pooping since 4pm the day before.

How do I convince her that the dog run is a good thing? She watches our other dog go there...will she learn from him? Any tips? Advice?

When she does poop, you could try putting it in the run and show it to her and praise her.
