How often a puppy has to relieve itself depends on its age. Until the puppy is about 12 weeks old he/she is going to need to eliminate as often as every hour or two while they are awake. The older they get, they longer they will be able to wait between walks as his/hers bladder control improves and the bladder itself gets larger.
