Help! 1 y.o. dog peeing in the house!
Hello! I have 1 y.o (not spayed yet) lhasa poo. Very nice, smart, cute and fun dog. But!!!! No matter how many times (sometimes 10!) i walk her out, she still leaves poddles everywhere on the floor and sometimes on the couch. She was in heat 1 month ago. Before that she was peeing inside less then now. I can take her out and 5 - 10 min later she pees inside (even though i saw her peeing outside). She also started to pee multiple times during a single walk out ( was not like that before) She knows it is wrong to pee inside. If you say "bad girl" or "who peed here?" she runs into her crate with a guilty look. What can cause it? How to stop it? Help!

If you don't correct her within 1 second, she knows you're mad, but doesn't know what you're mad at. That "guilty" look is one of unsureness and anxiety, and the crate is a comfort/safety zone.
Stop scaring your dog.
She is scent marking. That's what dogs do. She went into heat and now has all sorts of new hormones driving her instincts.
Spaying will help a lot.
Give it a couple months for the hormones to die down.
Then work with her again.
That said, do NOT rule out a UTI, especially if the urine has a peculiar odor or look to it.
Get that tested first thing.
Josh

Hi,
Your pooch guilty look is because she knows you are upset, the energy in your tone of voice tells her so, or just your energy alone. But like Josh said, she doesn't know what makes you or why you are upset.
Spaying her will help her a lot, and although it might be a bit frustrating, do not scare her because you will confuse her. When I adopted my dog, to start training her one step at once, i only, and only rewarded her with treats when she would pee and pooped outside. i didn't give her any treats at all at any other times. Except when I was teaching her the "Heal" command, and so on..
And I read somewhere that if your dog loves the outdoors a lot (what dog doesn't) once she poops and pees, take her back home immediately. That will also teach her that if she pees outside her stay s outside will be longer.
All the best,
Lala
