When they are together they run run away
I have three dogs that are house dogs...but I do have a fenced in part that they go in during the day or just when they want out...I am always in the yard..one at a time I can let them out and they stay in the yard great...listen to every command...but if I let them out together they take off like three crazy teens on the run...and I have to go hunt them down...any advice would be great....

Buster and Porter used to do that...until I tied them together. They can't run that far if they are tied a foot apart from each other.

I do the same thing with my two terriers - I use a split lead and let them off. Manny's desire to come to me is stronger than Ojo's desire to run off so they play around together then come back to me.

I was just envisioning 27 Miniature Pinschers all linked together.....I can only imagine the knot I would have to try to get undone just to get them loose

At first I thought it was a joke imagining Buster & Porter tied together. lol SOrry! But then I could see how it would work. I assume your dogs are close in size too, Cig.
It wouldn't work for us either. I could just see it now, Kuma would be dragging Wrigley all around the yard. Or worse she'd be messing with him & he wouldn't be able to get away from her..dog fight!

Do you mean they're not closed in the yard? I wouldn't trust my dogs off leash. One of my dogs is a better listener then the other, but I think like kids, they tend to feed off eachother. They often look at each other like they're saying, "What do you think? Do we have to listen this time?"

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"

Porter weighs 5 lbs less than Buster. And yes, sometimes they do drag each other around out in the yard. If I want them out for more than potty time though, I tie them out or stick them in the kennel. For just a potty, I tie them together.
FYI, two huge dogs tied together and trying to run in different directions is hilarious.
