I basically have been doing this for years with the new ones. Over sized pen area and the pups sleep in one area and do their business at the other end.

The dogs they show are little dogs. I can't imagine Buster or Porter using something like that. Porter would probably chew up the pad and Buster wouldn't get it anyway.

Buster would probably drag the thing all over the yard just to see what would happen. Porter would stand by laughing....

You're probably correct. Or Buster would find a way to get stuck in it. He's retarded like that.

Luna, Those two would be the exception, lol, but they do make these 'apartments' for at least four different sizes of dogs---Don't know about your Saints though. Do you have crates at all--If so, then these are prob. made big enough as well.

I have no use for this item as I have a doggie door, fenced-in yard, and am retired plus my dogs can go 8 or more hrs. through the night loose in the house with no problems----BUT I think it is a good solution --esp. for new puppy owners; people who live in apartments-esp. upstair apts.; people who work and dog has to stay in house all day. I hate for dogs to be crated all day--It should not be happening--I think it is cruel. At least this 'apartment' crate is open so dog is not confined for hours in a crate and made to hold pottying for hours--It is not a happy situation for the poor dog --besides it is not healthy either. Hey! I wonder if dogs that are incontinent can manage to get to this 'bathroom' at least part of the time. Would be great if it would help that--A heck of a lot better solution then that d*mn killer PROIN!!! I would be using this dog apartment idea if I had a situation like any of the above mentioned. I have no idea the price of these apts. But I would create my own version --homemade if I had to! And I would sub some kind of plastic (or other material) for the base of the potty area and use newspapers on top of that---cheaper than buying all those liners! I am not advertising this product but I think it is a very good idea for a lot of dog owners!

It is a great idea. I wonder how they keep the dogs from chewing the liners?

I don't like those things either--When Corky was a pup, I tried some of those 'pee pads' (Whatever they are called) and he shredded them up while I was at work. Newspapers are messier I guess but I think I'd rather mess with them--just so there was a base of some kind under the paper. Although if you can 'train' the dog to use whatever for pottying -- I would think they would leave the potty area in one piece. Lol, no guarantees for Buster though!
