We have a rescued 2 year old hound mix. We have had her for a year but she has been at my girlfriends parents. She has now joined our household, complete with another dog and cat. With whom she gets along great. Our issue is a different one. When we take Betty outside to poop, sometimes she goes, but most times she literally holds her poop in and refuses to go. Its even as bad as the feces will be sticking out, but she will hold it in and wont go. Sorry for the description. We are doing the praise and treat method, but she refuses to go outside. I am very frustrated, esp when I take her out 3 or 4 times then she goes in the living room. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.
