My husband and I purchased Doberman about a year ago. She did really good with potty training when we first got her, hardly any accidents at all! She would always go to the bathroom (both) when we took her out and we never had any problems with her at all. Soon, she started sleeping in her crate every night because she was too big to sleep in the bed with us. We were always told that dogs wouldn't go to the bathroom where they slept, but that turned out not to be true with our Phoenix. We never yelled at her, but did tell her "No" and took her outside whenever she went potty in her crate. Then, it got even worse when she began to poop in her cage. Now, she simply refuses to go to the bathroom (2) outside. I can take her out immediately after she eats, walk her for 30 minutes, and nothing. Put her in her room, and then she goes. I can wait about 5 minutes to take her out after she eats (honestly, I only walk to the kitchen to get a drink) and she has already gone to the bathroom. Seriously, I am at my wits end. I feed her the same time every day, twice a day. I have no problems at all with her peeing because she always does that outside, but what can I do to get my dog to poop outside???
