I swear I'm yanking my hair out!!!! I have a 7 month (soon to be 8 months) old female Pit Mix. I swear (no offence) but it's like having a child who has ADHD. All she does is jump. she barks excessively (and she barks at nothing), and she is hyper. I know she is just a puppy, but this is crazy. She doesn't take to any type of disipline. When she is being corrected or how ever you want to say it, she thinks it's a game, no matter what you do!!!! I'm going insane and I don't know what to do. The last thing I want to do is give her away. I mean I love her a lot. Don't get me wrong, she is a total sweetie (when she is not acting like she is on drugs!!!!!!) She's not aggressive either. Please!!!! Can someone give me advice on what to do before my parents shoot her? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know much about Pits but I do know they need lots of excercise.
Get her around another dog and let them run it out. That could be the reason she barks alot, cause shes hyper and needs to release that energy.
Also for disiplinary things. I use a spray bottle. It's harmless yet still very useful. Just give her one spray, stomp your foot, and say NO!

She loves playing with my other dog Chance. She's has a lot of energy that's the only problem. It seems like she has a lifetime supply of energy. The spraybottle worked when we were training her to get off the stairs, so I'll try that again and see how it works. Thanks.
