I rescued a rat terrier puppy from the shelter where my daughter and I work a few days a month. He was about 16 weeks old then he is now 8 months. We also have two other male dogs a standard poodle who is 12 and another small mix that is 2. The dogs have not warmed up to the pup and now he seems to be trying to take over the pack. I have been trying to let them work it out but the little guy is really agressive with the other dogs and has now stared showing agression towards peaple too. I took him to 12 weeks of puppy school and he hated all the other dogs but was really good with the people. Not sure where to go from here. Will the dogs work this out or will it never be ok. and will the agression towards us stop when they do work it out?
I think that sometimes dogs are just aggressive, some can't be reprogramed. Because he was rescued, do you know any of his backround, anything baout his parentss, where they aggressive. If it continues I would not keep the pet around your kids or other pets its a injury waiting to happen!
