I wish I had read all of the posts about Proin50 before giving to our 7-month old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Mara. We noticed recently that she was "leaking" a little when she was in a really deep sleep after a very active day. We took her to the vet who recommended Proin50. The vet specifically stated that this pill had NO side affects whatsoever which is why she thought it was GREAT! The prescription was to give her two pills a day. We gave her one yesterday and within one hour, she was anxious, agitated, her heart was racing, her eyes were bugging and her pupils were dilated. We tried to comfort her all day and it wasn't until 10 p.m. that night when she finally was able to sleep. She didn't sleep well nor did we because we were worried. She also had had full-blown diarrhea. After reading ALL of the posts on Proin50, there is no way we will EVER give her that pill again. We are also going to switch vets. Please think twice before giving your beloved pet this crap.
