Hi, I'm new here in this forum, and just like everyone else here, I would also like to learn and share some things about how to be a good pal to the so called "man's best friend".

Oh collies are gorgeous, but one of the things I remember the most from when we had a collie in my childhood was all the HAIR!!

When I was younger and still living at home we owned a Collie named Lady. She was a rescue dog (she was chained all of her life, never got off of it and had really bad arthritis, also a neighbor of where she was chained hit her on the back with a shovel) we were told. It was so cruel. She was beautiful and overweight from no exercise.

Once we got her, she got to run free on a beautiful 15 wooded acres. She was such a sweet dog. I could never see why anyone wouldn't want to spend all day with her. She had a good life after we got her.
