Hi, I'm Melissa mom to 2 mini-doxies. One is very sweet and the other is a handful, but still sweet

I'm new also,dachshunds are great, we had two sisters. It can be sad though lost both of them within 6 months of each other still miss them.
Now! I am the proud momma of China Rose a hairless chinese crested, I know...people think they are ugly but she isn't. Actually, very cute.

Donna--I think hairless chinese crested breeds are adorable!! :mrgreen: I've never seen one in person though. What do they feel like, are they soft? They look like they'd be all smooth feeling. I love the poof of hair on the top of their heads.. adorable.

Hello,I am new to this also.We have a miniature dachshund.She is the most loving little thing.She is sucha great companion.We are getting ready to either purchase a male dachshund or find a stud for her.She just has the best personality .She sits with the grandbabies in her own little dora chair as they sit in theirs.She sleeps with us and under the covers. Oh that is so funny! Our female is the one who is a bit of a handful, loves to bark, but is very sweet once she settles down.

I love dachshunds so much!!!
I have a whire hairred and a smooth-coated dachshund. i really love my dachshunds!we used to have a longe-hairred daxie but she died.
Now i only have two males.poor old Hidee(that was her name)
my other two dachshunds names are Sassage and Pepper.
Pepper is my whire hairred dachshund's name and Sassage is my smooth-coated daxie's name.You wouldnt believe what Sassage can do!!!
He can go fetch the ball and then toss it to you!!!! Its so cool!
Pepper cant really do much.He doesnt even understand what "Fetch" means(most daxies dont though)
I tried to teach him how to fetch and play tug-a-war with me,but he just wont lissen to me!!!Anyone have any advice???
