Hello Fellow Dog Lovers:

Just joined this group and would like to say hello. I'm a berner owner/breeder/exhibitor and have had berners for 20 years and compete in conformation, obedience and draft and have titled several dogs.

Berner is short for Bernese Mountain Dog - and note - they are from Bern, Switzerland, not Burma...so they are NOT BURMESE - that's a cat.

I always thought it was Bermese, just never took the time to really "see" the spelling!
